Counseling can best be viewed as a process where information is gathered, organized and a positive plan of action is developed. That plan can then be implemented and progress measured. While every person, situation and plan will be different, the process might generally follow this pattern: “Now that we have found out what is going on, let’s discuss and apply a positive plan of action - then monitor its effectiveness”. The recommended frequency and overall cost of continued counseling depends on the effectiveness of the plan developed. Our goal will be to develop the plan and enable you to maintain that plan independently - thereby keeping the overall cost of counseling within reason.
