Brian David - Turan, LMHC
Early on, I recognized that I was eager to help others. My career in counseling began in 7th grade, as a volunteer camp counselor at our local summer youth program in upstate New York. This also became my first paid job, continuing for 7 years. After graduating from The State University of NY in 2017, I entered graduate school at the University of Miami - studying, yes, but also working with clients ranging from youths to seniors, all from many backgrounds and each with their own unique story and circumstances. I learned a lot then and continue to learn today. These days, Tampa is my home and has been for a number of years. I volunteer in the community and make a difference when and where I can. Helping people is still my passion today, just as it was early on.
Some specific areas include anxiety, trauma, addiction, depression, men’s issues and group therapy. On the technical side, my approaches center around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
